Dr. Raghavi Vishnu Prasanna
Laryngology, a lesser-explored branch of ENT, is Dr. Raghavi Vishnu Prasanna’s core focus. She specializes in disorders of the voice, swallowing, and airway, combining rigorous clinical expertise with a deep fascination for the human voice, honed under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. Jayakumar Menon(The Father of Indian Laryngology) at the Dr Jayakumar’s Laryngology Group.
She has also pursued advanced training in voice and phoniatrics internationally, learning from Dr. Ilter Denizoglu in Turkey, attending the DoctorVox Voice Therapy Workshop in Poland, and completing additional clinical training in the UK under Dr. Yakubu Karagama, further deepening her expertise in Laryngology.
Driven by a passion for professional and singing voice care, Dr. Raghavi, helps singers, teachers, actors, and anyone struggling with their voice to regain function, confidence, and vocal expression. She approaches each patient with empathy, dedication, and precision, leveraging advanced technology and personalized care to unlock the full potential of their voice and airway.
Patients with Ryles tubes or tracheostomy tubes hold a special place in her practice, as every successful removal reflects the life-changing impact of her work and her unwavering commitment to patient well-being.

- As an academic leader, she organized VASCON – Voice Marathon 2025, a 1.5-day exclusive voice event that brought together over 25 faculty members. The program featured a hands-on laryngeal workshop on Day 1 and a marathon of expert lectures on Day 2, making it one of the most dynamic and focused laryngology gatherings in the region.
- She currently practices at Shri VAS Clinic, Anna Nagar West Extn., Chennai, and is a visiting consultant at Apollo Hospitals, SIMS, Mehta’s, GEM Hospital, Prashanth Hospitals, Vijaya Hospitals, KKR Institute of ENT, etc.
- Her early research on the Pterygopalatine fossa and its association with mucormycosis, conducted well before the COVID-19 pandemic, gained national attention and earned her the Dr. Gananathan Govindasamy AOI Research Paper Award at the 19th Asia-Oceania ORL HNS Congress. The work was later widely referenced during the mucormycosis epidemic.

- Her journey in music includes completing the Trinity College London Grade 4 Keyboard exams, which helped me develop discipline, performance skills, and a deeper appreciation for music.
- Outside medicine, Dr. Raghavi is a Woman International Master in Chess, five-time national champion, Commonwealth U14 silver medallist, and co-founder of GM Vishnu’s Chess Club. Her ability to blend precision, discipline, and creativity shows in both her clinical and academic life.
